Brian Bishop

Brews 12 v UNO: cLOUD OF WITnesses is a large-scale installation made of 12 stained-glass-like panels, 14 benches, fabric, topped with a brewer and a cloud. In honor and celebration of lost friends and family members it was built as a gathering structure for Black Rock City. During the day, sunlight moves through it. At night, it glows from within. In its full form, it is a wonder for the community to sit and enjoy each other’s company under the watch of our ancestors.

This is a representation of a larger piece lead by artist Eric Brown in collaboration with other black artists across the United States including but not limited to: Eric E. Brown, Eto Otitigbe, Antonio Giovanni, Nikesha Breeze, Brian Bishop, Cesar Tejada, Kai Breeze, Jessica O. Matthews, Everett Alexander, Kristle Henry, Chris Stewart, and Raffell Bailey.
