Gwen Goins & Devlyn Kornegay
IoBT Catalogue, 2026
Paper, mixed media
IoBT Catalogue is a product directory of speculative objects exploring the Internet of Biological Things (IoBT) and oribotics (origami robotics). Rooted in Black ecologies, the project imagines infrastructures built on relationship, reciprocity, and care rather than extraction. This iteration takes the form of a disassembled book. Goins created the collages and writing; Kornegay created the illustrations and visual design.
Gwen Goins is a Carolinian cyborg, third child, and digital native luddite. She grew up in a corporate park and works in an email factory, where she continues to wordsmith, wordvomit, and wordmake. Goins makes eclectic visual media with free iPhone apps, relief print carving, projection mapping, and her Notes app, collaging ideas, images, and dreams. She believes science fiction is a research methodology, storytelling is a technology, and modest utopias are worth building.
Website - InstagramDevlyn Kornegay is a creative based in New York City, working at the crossroads of Tech, Art, and Design. For Devlyn, design has always meant intentional decisions, but his journey has expanded into something more exploratory: how we talk to machines, and how machines talk back. Moving from a foundation in industrial design into creative technology, he treats every interface and interaction as an opportunity to rewrite the language between humans and technology. His work is for anyone willing to pay attention and listen, standing at the edge of emerging technologies and asking what they could become.
